ITEMM is reported prominently in the Jornal do Commercio

On August 16, 2015, ITEMM was featured on JC Online (www.jconline.com.br), with content entitled “Future Batteries are born from the Belo Jardim Technology Center”.

Spartacus Pedrosa, executive manager of ITEMM, told JC online the main challenges faced by the team of researchers in the energy storage industry. One of these challenges is to develop a battery for use in a photovoltaic power system, which requires a larger size and capability of giving stability to the system and providing power for up to four days. Another challenge is the development of a battery for an electric car, which requires an improved battery with increased durability, in order to start the vehicle hundreds of times more than a battery of an ordinary car.
